Departing for Nepal – October 28th 2011

October 28th, 2011

Today is the day that most of the mission participants from Kansas City set out for Katmandu and points beyond! The journey of 10000 miles really does begin with a single step and thanks to everyone leaving KC for the first step of the journey – to Houston to catch the flight to Singapore via Moscow.

They will be joined by others leaving other parts of the US and the World to join the mission that gets going next week.

Last minute mission packing…..

October 28th, 2011

Well, most of the team are on their way to Nepal now, and some are already there! There is a lot to prepare before the airport run to make the missions go smoothly of course and the days and weeks leading up to departure have been very busy.

Here are some photos from David and Rachel (plus some helpers!) from their packing efforts!

Nepal Mission 2011

October 21st, 2011

We are nearly there! After many, many months of planning, the medical mission to Nepal (specifically Pokhara and Mustang) is underway!

Although most of the team do not leave Kansas City until October 28th, several advance members are already on their way and so the effort has really begun!

Stay tuned to this site for the latest updateson the last mimute preparations and (hopefully, internet permitting!) updates on a day by day basis from the two mission bases themselves.

We are excited to be able to visit this wonderful country and looking forward to being of service there. THANK YOU to all who are travelling, and to those whose support and fundraising efforts make this mission possible!
